Story
In 2012, inspired by Homes Under the Hammer, my parents, Hazel and Alan, took a brave first step into the property industry. With a background in engineering and a proven record of building conservatories, extensions, and even a new-build detached property, Alan took a voluntary redundancy payment to kickstart our family’s investment journey. As resident DIY extraordinaire, Alan laid the foundations for our future in property.

Hazel was the visionary behind it all, making the ultimate decision to go all in property. She managed the finances, picked up the paintbrush and gave us the confidence to dive into property development as a family venture. Without her guidance, our journey might never have taken off, and it was my parents self-build approach - getting their hands dirty one project at a time - that first introduced me to the world of property.

At that time, I was working for an event agency in London, organising AGM’s, touring European exhibitions, and managing six-figure events. From designing exhibition stands and floor plans to managing budgets and schedules, I developed a range of transferable skills that proved extremely useful when I finally stepped into the property arena.

I took a sabbatical from events with my partner, Kate, traveling throughout South and Central America. Not long after our travels, mum, Hazel, was diagnosed with a terminal illness. With my parents juggling two refurbishment projects, I returned home to help— caring for my family while picking up the tools for the first time. Guided by my parents’ expertise, I quickly shifted from event producer to hands-on builder, and I discovered a genuine love for working with my hands.

During this challenging time, our strategy was straightforward: flip properties—buy, renovate, and sell—to generate the income we needed to replace my London salary. Each project, deepened my understanding of the building industry and provided a holistic view of the property purchasing, renovation, and sales process, all while self-managing my parents’ property portfolio.

As time went on, I learned that some trades weren’t for me and by hiring the right professionals, we could speed up the work and achieve better results. Gradually, I built a team of skilled tradespeople, allowing me to transition back into a project management role.
Today, I lead a team that brings our development projects to life, with our contract manager, Ash, overseeing day-to-day site management. Our work now spans everything domestic dwellings, from large renovation projects, extensions and structural works, to a variety of conversions—including basement, loft, and even complex all-ensuite HMO conversions, with commercial fire and heating systems.

Throughout our journey, we often came across excellent property deals that didn’t quite match our criteria at the time. Had our criteria been different, we would have snapped them up immediately. This insight inspired us to explore property sourcing so that we could pass these opportunities on to others.
​
After extensive research, we partnered with experts Jamie York, Dan Buckham and Sam Spencer, to develop a service offering built on strict compliance and due diligence. With over 10 years of experience in the property industry, we now share our knowledge with others—helping them secure deals and tackle projects that might have once seemed out of reach due to a lack of time, industry know-how, or building experience.

I take great pride in listening to people’s passion for property and learning about their investment goals. We design strategies based on our hard-won experience and a deep understanding of the market, and it’s incredibly rewarding to now guide others on their own property journey.
