Background
An entrepreneur at heart, Hazel was the driving force behind the family’s journey into property. She met Alan while working in procurement on the railway, and after having Bradley, she launched her own childminding business, later taking on HR roles at South Cheshire College and Reaseheath College.

It was Hazel who first planted the seed of property investment, inspired by Homes Under the Hammer. She convinced Alan to take voluntary redundancy and go all-in on property, managing the numbers while also rolling up her sleeves to paint and renovate. Together, they built a successful property portfolio, one house at a time.

Then, everything changed. In the middle of a renovation project, Hazel was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Determined to leave a legacy for her family, she chose to use her life insurance policy as seed capital for what would become The Hazel Company. Her vision was to turn the family’s passion into a business - transforming tired properties into high-quality homes.

Hazel’s spirit, determination, and belief in her family continue to shape the business today. She was, and always will be, the heart of The Hazel Company.
